A Sense of Family

On 24th September 2008, Jacky and Françoise Lorenzetti fell under the spell of Château Lilian Ladouys; their daughter Manon joined them there in 2018.

The family are very proud of the path they have followed. In 2020, after the Lorenzettis had restructured their premium Saint-Estèphe vineyards and chosen to tailor their viticultural practice to respect the environment, Château Lilian Ladouys was anointed a Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel.

2008: Love at first sight

Jacky and Françoise Lorenzetti bought the property after falling instantly in love with it. They brought passion and ambition to this new project, throwing themselves almost immediately into an enormous programme of plot consolidation. They relied on the expertise and energy of the late, much-missed Vincent Mulliez, who was succeeded in 2013 as General Manager by Emmanuel Cruse, Grand Master of the Commanderie du Bontemps and co-owner of Château d’Issan. In 2008, Vincent Bache-Gabrielsen stepped in as Technical Director; a few years later, he became Director. Benoît de Sigy subsequently joined the team to provide administrative support, and he and Bache-Gabrielsen have been partners ever since.

MEET THE TEAM

2018, the beginning of the handover

In 2018, the arrival of Manon Lorenzetti brought new energy to their project. She joined the directorate of the Lorenzetti’s holding company, Ovalto, and took over the management of the viticultural society. As the representative of a new generation of estate owners, Manon wants to speed up the push towards best practice in the vineyard that her parents, alongside Vincent Bache-Gabrielsen and his teams, initiated in 2009; she also wishes to keep the the wines on their current upward trajectory towards ever greater levels of excellence.
